Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. Most video rental stores in America have gone extinct and outside specific Red Box Kiosks there aren't a lot of places for consumers to rent video games. The exception, of course, being thr

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.

So if you watch me both here and on fa, congrats you get in on a super secret event. ;D xD!!

Anyway, in my last journal I had this idea:

Wouldn't it be fun to have Tartii chillin and chatting and just all about hanging with other people's feral fursonas? And I decided, hey! Why restrict it to just big cats?

Lets make it all possible breeds! And all different types of artists! Whether your a new artist or experienced, this piece will have variety, and in itself be something magical. :3

This is how it will be done. First, I will draw tartii. She will be prolly be looking like she's chatting with someone, flirting, or maybe just about to pounce or play a prank. Interacting somehow with an invsible character! The image will be huge, so there will be lots of space for people to draw. And the background will be white, unless somebody wants to add to it. The next person can either draw themselves interacting with tartii somehow, or other members in the picture.

This is guna be MASSIVE in both size and fun! At least I think so. x3 As far as I go, I dont mind people having their characters overlap somehow on tartii, because if we were all in just a single line, well....that would be pretty flat and boring no?

The picture will be drawn in a certain order. AKA people take turns drawing. So I go and draw my character, then somebody else draws theirs ect. ect. That way we dont have random characters popping up in spaces that should have already been filled. So this is what the sign up is for!

I will post the starting picture on DA, and then I will leave a list of who all is going to go in what order in the description as well as on the journal. That way nobody can miss it. :3

Requirments

Must have a feral fursona/character.

Must be able to complete their part of the piece in time, otherwise notify me and say to skip so the next person can get started.

DO NOT erase or manipulate other people's characters.

If your interested let me know and I'll put you down! Remember, any level of skill counts! And so far I dont see a reason to have a limit. The bigger the funner the picture!
